Implementation Strategies
a. Foster interactive dialogue and transparent decision making, and ensure all voices are heard via social events, committee meetings and feedback mechanisms such as workplace satisfaction surveys.
b. Increase participation in mentoring and professional development programs that enable faculty, staff and trainees to fulfill their potential.
c. Support programs promoting work-life balace and well-being for the UFCD community, including peer support and wellness programs.
Objective 2
Recruit and recognize exemplary people with varied backgrounds and complementary talents who uphold the college values.

a. Implement recruitment strategies that attract individuals with a broad range of experiences and training and emphasize a long-term commitment to professional and personal growth.
b. Celebrate excellence and foster appreciation by highlighting awards and/or other recognition programs.
c. Use onboarding and climate surveys to assess professional and educational satisfaction among the UFCD community. Based on findings, create targeted action plans to address identified areas for improvement, and celebrate successes.

Provide opportunities for the college community to gain experience and develop skills that promote professional advancement and success.
Rationale: Prioritizing professional and personal development enhances skills and competencies, elevates educational experiences, supports teaching, scholarship and research, and fosters collaboration and innovation.

a. Support ongoing training to develop research, administrative, clinical and instructional skills and techniques through workshops, seminars and other learning experiences.
b. Facilitate opportunities for faculty, staff and learners to engage with emerging technologies, methodologies and materials via support for research participation, discipline-specific conferences, continuing education courses and other career development initiatives.
c. Develop leaders through participation in established programs that enhance communication, mentoring and leadership skills.
